Today I’m giving you a tour of my at-home workspace. It is, of course, decorated with secondhand and DIY pieces. Y’all know me. 😉
I like to keep my desk as clutter free as possible. I find that a clean, bright space helps me be more productive and creative. This desk and chair from IKEA are great because they are light and don’t take up a lot of visual space.
I also love that the desk has very minimal drawer space. Big drawers would make it look a lot bulkier and would just encourage me to fill it with things I don’t need or use. With small drawers, I keep only the essentials. In fact, the drawers have a lot of empty space, which I actually prefer! Keeping the drawers mostly empty makes it very easy to find whatever I need and helps keep me motivated to maintain my electronic file storage system. I did a whole video on how I store my documents electronically, so if you’d like to know my tips and system, you can watch that here. I’ve found that it’s actually much easier to maintain than physical file storage, and I love not having paper clutter anymore!
I hope you enjoy seeing my desk tour!
