Day 7 of my 30 day effort to break my weight loss plateau is over. That means I’m (approximately) 25% done!
The first thing I want to address in today’s post is why it didn’t go up last night. On days 1-6, I would write up the post, take the screenshots, and publish the night of. I realized on day 2 that using that system wasn’t ideal because I wasn’t actually getting an accurate number of calories burned for the whole day–I was missing the calories burned from the time I posted until midnight, which is usually a couple hundred calories. That’s why I decided to shift the schedule so that the posts come out the following day. I want to be able to take my Fitbit screenshots after the whole day is over so I get the most accurate number for calories burned. Hope that little shift in the schedule is cool with you!

Today’s exercise: Okay, confession time. This was the first day that I didn’t get any exercise in. UGH! I’m pretty bummed about this but if I was given a do-over of the day I know I still wouldn’t get a workout in. It was a doozy of a day. I woke up late and feeling really crummy, not sure if it was allergies or an impending cold. (Turns out it was allergies. I never had any as a kid. Hooray for adulthood.) Plus a brand new breakout all over my face. Yay! Work was crazy stressful and so busy that I didn’t have time to eat lunch. By the time I got home I was so exhausted that I just showered, had dinner, and crashed. All I can do is try again tomorrow.
Today’s food: I had my favorite smoothie for breakfast but I didn’t have lunch because work was so busy. When I got home I was pretty hungry but too tired to cook, so I hate some more snap pea crisps, date balls I had pre-made, and a some watermelon a little later. Definitely an odd day of eating.
Today’s calorie totals: 1848 consumed – 2083 burned = -235 kcal. My LoseIt! calorie goal is calculated for me to lose about one pound per week.
Weight update: I’ve lost exactly one pound in the last 7 days! My weight on 6/2 was 187.9 pounds. At least that was a bit of good news on this otherwise weird and kind of crummy day.
