Today’s exercise: So, I didn’t work out today. I’m not really sure what’s up with me lately, but I’ve been soooo tired. That’s maybe not so weird during my period but today was the first day after it ended, and I don’t remember usually being tired on this day. I guess that’s something to pay attention to in the future to see if it’s a pattern. Once again, not thrilled that I didn’t get any activity in, but trying really hard to be kind to myself instead of beating myself up about it.
Today’s food: I had the same berry smoothie for breakfast that I’ve been having a lot lately. Not because it’s better than the blueberry almond butter smoothie, because it’s not, so if you’re going to try one definitely make that one instead. I switched to this because the almond butter was getting expensive to buy every week and I am trying to figure out if it was contributing to my acne. I know for sure that peanut butter does. Almond butter doesn’t give me the same cystic acne as peanut butter, but I’ve been having a lot of smaller breakouts lately and I think it could be because I was eating a lot more fat than I used to. Jury’s still out.
For lunch I hit up the salad bar at work and basically just put some quinoa salad over greens and added some of my other favorite toppings. After work I had a couple dates. Then I had three–count them, three–vegan grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner. Yeah. Great choice, I know. And because apparently that wasn’t enough, I had granola with almond milk after dinner.
Calorically, this was not a bad day of eating. However, I rarely eat bread or bread-like foods. I know I’m going to have some major water weight happening tomorrow. (Edit from the next day: Yup, 1.4 pounds gained overnight. Ugh.)
