Day 12 of 30 is done! I’m inching towards the halfway point and honestly I don’t feel like much has changed. I know I said at the beginning that my goal for this challenge is to focus on forming better habits but I can’t help but wish for good physical results, too.
I just keep telling myself, “Have patience, do your best, and learn from it all”.

Today’s exercise: I didn’t get a good workout in today, which makes two days in a row. Not the end of the world, but I am disappointed. I know that I struggle to fit activity into my weekdays and that’s a part of why I wanted to do this challenge – to get myself into the habit of making time for exercise and making good food choices regularly. I did walk to the grocery store, so I got an okay number of steps in, but I really want to get a good sweat session in tomorrow.
Today’s food: I had oatmeal for breakfast, the same lunch I’ve been having all week (but I’m finally out of it so I get to have something else tomorrow!), and vegan Mac & cheese for dinner. I tried this recipe and added Daiya cheddar style shreds because I wasn’t a fan of the recipe’s sauce on its own. I also had glass of green juice as a snack when I got home from work.
Today’s calorie totals: 1742 consumed – 2250 burned = -508 kcal
